Pamela Weaver serves as the chief marketing officer of Mississippi Development Authority. In this role, she manages three bureaus responsible for promoting investment and job creation throughout the state by providing public relations, marketing, event planning, graphic design, website management and advertising in support of MDA’s divisions. The Marketing and Communications Division is also responsible for promoting Mississippi as a premier business destination to companies and site selection consultants around the globe.
A member of the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Center for Freedom of Information and the Mississippi Press Association, Weaver is an award-winning former anchor and news reporter at WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg.
Prior to joining MDA, Weaver served as communications director for the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office for eight years. In that role, she served as the point of contact for all media interviews, spoke on behalf of the office and the Secretary of State, conducted external constituent communications and public relations campaigns.
An Ocean Springs native, Pamela Weaver graduated the University of Southern Mississippi with degrees in both Mass Communication and Political Science.
